Responsibilities
· Utilize technical problem solving to design a wide variety of custom HVAC equipment
·Create a design package to detail the following:
o Performance data, construction data and specifications of the equipment
o Mechanical drawings
o Hydronic and refrigeration schematics
o Electrical schematics complete with a sequence of operation
o Detailed bill of materials
·Communicate with Technical Sales personnel to confirm the customer requirements of customized HVAC equipment
·Provide mentorship and guidance to other Designers in regards to HVAC Design.
·Actively participate in the continuous improvement of design documentation and processes
·Assist Design Team Lead with peer review of equipment design
·Utilize technical problem solving to lead or assist with internal special projects as required
·Manage daily tasks autonomously and in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team including Sales, Production and Service to meet project deadlines
·Provide guidance to Production and Service employees in relation to troubleshooting of equipment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
·Proficiency in CAD software
·Mechanical, electrical and control system knowledge
·Diploma/Degree in Mechanical
·3-5 years of experience in an HVAC design and manufacturing environment
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Effective time management skills
·Accuracy and attention to detail
